Game 1 of the ALCS is underway and in a big way for the Tigers. Of course, not all of it good. The game started off pretty decent enough each team sizing the other up… But as the innings went on, it was clear the Tiger’s were ready to pounce on the A’s mistakes. And they made plenty. After the, what, 4th inning, the game started to become one sided. The A’s made an error early on that the Tiger’s took quick advantage of; diminishing any rally the A’s would have tried to put up. It’s not to say the Tiger’s didn’t have an error, they had a few, but unlike the A’s, it didn’t cost them big. Pitching was tight out of the Tiger’s bullpen, but the A’s? Yeh, that’s gotta hurt. Still, I’m glad the Tiger’s won. And I have to ask myself, can they keep this pace? With Sean Casey out, will they lose any momentum? Sean Casey is a big hitter for them, but are they going to hurt that badly without him? It’ll be interesting to see how the next few games play out, but I will have to say, that without him, they could still do alright. Verlander will open tonight’s game, and he proved his stuff against the Yankee’s in game 2 of their series, giving them the win. Though, he gave them plenty of scoring opportunity, which caused me to sit on the edge of the couch for most of the game… Talk about stress! So we’ll see. With the A’s ability to get men in scoring positions, Verlander’s going to have to take extra care in tonight’s game. So, yeh… I think the Tiger’s will make it to the Big Game. World Series you say? But… I can’t go unless I can get it paid for. The Tiger’s announced today how much tickets prices will be at Comerica Park, they will have home field advantage! Yeh! I’ve added a Donate Button so you, can help get me to the big Game. Any little bit will help. This will be my first World Series I’ve ever gone to, and I’d like to take my little girl too, which will be her first baseball game, ever! She’s watched about 75% of the games on TV, with me. So take pity on us, donate! Send us to the big game!
