Serpent Pass

A man-made cave system, runs from the north side of the Serpent Spine Mountains and ends on the south side, where it opens up into the desert of the Bone Plains. The tunnel and mine system of the Serpent Pass, ascends to the peaks, while another branch descends to the Coatlen city hidden away underneath. The Serpent Pass is the main artery between Jeklee and the rest of Xecutran. It is a major trade route, where merchants bring goods to and from the south, to Lucci, where it gets shipped east to Cettera.   Serpent Pass is known for its rich veins of precious and semi-precious gems. The world’s most luxurious diamonds, emeralds, and rubies came from the mines of Serpent Pass. It was however abandoned for a time during the One Hundred Year War, where it became unsafe to mine due to rising tensions with Xecutran and the Fire Isle Mages. Bandits and mages began to pilfer the trade routes, cutting off any trade from Lucci to Cettera.
