Yente

Home of the Atticatten, Yente is a city hidden among the trees of huge redwood trees. Sparling wood and vine walkways snake from tree to tree, where homes are build in and around the trees as they grow. Thousands of years old, the city was originally built at ground level, but as the trees grew in size, homes were molded into the trees. Some of the larger ones, the oldest ones in the forests, became home to the Atticatten Council of Elders and the largest library outside of the Temple of Time.   Atticatten’s, a cat-like people, live both in the trees and around the large root systems that dig into the earth like giant hands. Some of the non-essential buildings, and those needed to facilitate trade are also on the ground level.

Demographics

Mostly inhabited by Atticatten, they do however welcome some outsiders. A few elves and a Dwarven family or two, as well as a hand full of humans, do live around Yente.

Defenses

Yente’s biggest defense is its mostly hidden among the trees. Casual travelers or visitors might miss the city entirely if it wasn’t for the well-worn road.
